Terms of service

By using Ghost Story Viewer you agree to these terms. They’re written to be read, so please do.

1. The service

Ghost Story Viewer (ghoststoryviewer.com) is run by its operator (“we”, “us”). It shows the current stories of public Instagram accounts without you signing in to Instagram. It can’t show private accounts, and never will. Ghost Story Viewer is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.

Stories come from a third-party data source and from Instagram. They can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, and features can change. We don’t guarantee the service will always be available or work for every account.

2. Using it responsibly

You must be at least 13 (16 in the EU and EEA) to use Ghost Story Viewer. You agree not to:

• use it to harass, stalk, threaten or intimidate anyone, or to collect information about someone in order to harm them;
• share, sell or republish other people’s content in ways that break the law or their rights (copyright, privacy, image rights);
• scrape the site, run automated lookups, get around rate limits or other protections, or put an unreasonable load on the service;
• interfere with the site’s security, or with other visitors’ use of it;
• break any law that applies to you.

We may block access, remove accounts or refuse lookups if we reasonably believe these terms are being broken.

3. Other people’s content

Stories belong to the people who posted them. We don’t host or own them: they load from Instagram’s servers and are shown as-is. Saving a story is for your own personal use only. You’re responsible for how you use anything you view or save. If you own an account and want its page removed, see removing an account. To report copyright infringement, email nesparolini@gmail.com with the account, the content and your contact details.

4. Accounts

Signing in with Google is optional. It’s used for the watchlist and the Pro plan. Keep your Google account secure. You’re responsible for activity on your Ghost Story Viewer account. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).

5. Pro plan

• Price and billing: $5.99 / month, billed in advance each month through Stripe until you cancel. Prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.
• What you get: a larger watchlist and no ads, as described on the pricing page. Pro doesn’t unlock private accounts.
• Cancelling: cancel any time under Manage subscription. Pro stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
• Refunds: if you’re not happy, email nesparolini@gmail.com within 14 days of your first Pro payment for a full refund. After that, payments aren’t refundable except where the law requires.
• Changes: we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price change, and you can cancel before it applies.

6. Ads

The free version shows ads from third parties. We’re not responsible for the products or sites they advertise. Ad cookies are covered in the privacy policy.

7. Disclaimer

Ghost Story Viewer is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about its availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t legally be limited.

8. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or opportunity. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 50 US dollars. We don’t exclude liability that can’t legally be excluded, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We’ll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll show a notice on the site first. If you keep using Ghost Story Viewer after a change, the new terms apply.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where we are established, and disputes go to its courts. If you’re a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring claims there.
